Arc'teryx size charts

Men's clothing

How to measure?

To measure exactly which size of Arc'teryx is most suitable for you, you will first need a tape measure. It is best to ask someone else to take your measurements while you stand straight and relaxed without shoes. Try not to pull the measuring tape too tight, but also not too loose around the body. Avoid bulky clothing. For the most accurate results, have only your undergarments or close-fitting clothes on, such as a base layer.

  • Sleeve (image 1.1): with the arm relaxed along your side and slightly bent, measure from the middle of the neck, over the shoulder to the elbow and down to the wrist.
  • Chest (image 1.2): with arms relaxed at your sides, measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
  • Waist (image 1.3 and image 2.1): measure around your waist at the narrowest part.
  • Hip (image 1.4 and image 2.2): stand with your feet hip-width apart and measure around your hips at the widest part.
  • Inseam (image 2.3): from a standing position, measure from your crotch along the inside of your leg to the floor.

Fit

Arc'teryx uses several terms to describe the fit of a garment. In this, it also distinguishes between outerwear and underwear. In total, you may come across five terms. In order from tight to loose fit, these are:

  • Next to skin fit: this fit is only used for underwear. It is the brand's closest fit. This fit keeps the garment fabrics as close to the body as possible for better moisture management, thermal efficiency and comfort. You will only find this fit on thermal trousers.
  • Fitted fit: this fit fits closely to the body at the chest, waist, hip and thigh. The tight fit prevents bulk, moves with the body and fits comfortably under the third layer/outer layer.
  • Regular fit: the regular fit falls comfortably across the chest, waist, hip and thigh. It gives freedom of movement. A regular fit midlayer falls comfortably under a regular or relaxed fit outer layer.
  • Relaxed fit: the relaxed fit falls loosely at the chest, waist, hip and thigh. Relaxed without sacrificing structure and clean lines. It offers comfort and freedom of movement with a more casual look.
  • Oversized fit: Arc'teryx's roomiest fit is cut loosely across the body. Drooping shoulders and wide sleeves offer freedom of movement while its draping and textured for a contemporary look.

Gloves

To get to the right size, you need to measure two parts of your hand. First, the length from the tip of your middle finger to the bottom of your palm (hand length). Second, your hand circumference at the centre of your palm. For both measurements, see image 5. Then link the measured sizes to the sizes in the size chart below.
